About Dr. Fitzgerald

Experience

Dr. Kathleen Fitzgerald is a Certified Psychoanalyst and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She is an Adjunct  Faculty for  ArtCenter College of Design and also teaches at Newport Psychoanalytic Institute. Dr. Fitzgerald has worked in the mental health field for 30 years and maintained a private practice for 25 years working with individuals, age 16 to 80, as well as couples, adolescents and families.

Dr. Fitzgerald has many years of experience in professional leadership roles including Steering Committee Member for the State of California Task force on Dual Diagnosis, Executive Director for a community counseling center, Adjunct Faculty & Clinical Supervisor at Fuller Theological Seminary, School of Psychology as well as School Board member, Program Chair, Director for School Counseling programs, and Board Director.
